Geoffrey F. Smedley-Stevenson MA (Cantab)

Secretary, Cambridge University Liberal Club, Michaelmas 1954

Geoffrey Smedley-Stevenson studied at Clare College, Cambridge and then became a schoolmaster. He was a member of the Liberal Party Council and its education committee in the late 1950s. In 1959, he was the Liberal candidate for Chesterfield.

He is the author of Oxfordshire in the Barracuda Guides to County History series, and most recently (2007) edited Early Victorian Squarson – the Diaries of William Cotton Risley Vicar of Deddington 1835-1848, Banbury Historical Society Record Volume No 29.
